The French duo Daft Punk released their 2nd album, "Discovery" in 2001. Recorded in their own studio over 2 years time, "Discovery" is a stunning achievement in electronic music. After the success of their 1st LP, " Homework", Daft Punk set out to stretch the boundaries and further define their unique take on dance music. Disco and R&B and Pop influences meld with the Chicago house music that heavily informed "Homework". Synths, electric pianos, drum machines, and many samples (of other artist's records as well as samples of themselves and other collaborators) blend together in a magical, organic way.
